love is an ass
Sketching -at whatever resolution- is a conversation with the idea or the problem. A sketch responds to the question “what if..?”, “how about..?”, “could we..?”. Indeed, whichever creative corner you’re in, you’ll have questions to be answered. My working life has propped me in many corners: Architects’ studios, building sites in the armpits of China, noisy classrooms and mute wall recording booths to name a few. I’ve left a paper trail that could circle the globe debating the possible answers and sometimes getting it right (don’t worry I’m going to pick it all up). So, in the event you’re about to ask..”why is love an ass…?”, let me grab my pencil.
